The Area Manager leads and manages a team of Sales Agents, Installation Technician, Dual Contractors, Area Admins, and the customers – responsible for the full customer cycle i.e. Sale, Fulfill, Maintain, Collect and Recover.
Organizing sales activities and field operations to achieve targets, revenues, and desired quality of sales.
On-time and high-quality system installations at the customers' premises or any other location as directed by Mobisol
Managing Installation Technicians and MINTs o Coordinate Installation Technicians and Maintenance technicians to ensures systems are installed and maintained, o Support recruitment of new Installation and maintenance technicians in the sales Area. o Prepare the monthly installation monitoring report for the Zonal Service Coordinator o Review Control monthly commission payments and payroll, follow up on faulty installations and inform Finance Department about deductions. o Repossessions are aligned and coordinated with the Credit Control team. o Identify the need for and recruit new contractors with support from Zonal Service Coordinator. o Responsible for disciplinary for installations and maintenance technicians.
Support quarterly inventory audits for all Mobishops o Stock takings o Stock audit report
Educating Sales Agents, Dual Contractors, Installation Technicians, Maintenance Technicians and Area Admins in applicable policies, guidelines, processes, and procedures.
Organizing and facilitating regular team meetings according to guidelines provided by Zonal Sales Manager and Credit departmental standards.
Mentoring each SA, Installation Technician, Maintenance Technician, Dual Contractor, and Area Admins to enhance operational performance, motivation, and engagement. training and coaching of SAs on topics including pitching, sales conversation, closing, and building of strong and long-lasting relationships with customers.
Act as the first line of defense to ensure the following; o Managing the daily work and activities of Loan Recovery according prioritization policy on workout activities o Deal with complex scenarios (customer not found, fire, violence etc.) o Assessing internal and external causes for portfolio deterioration o Participating in the recruitment of new staff and training of existing staff o Monitor and review KPIs + provide feedback Area Admins o Conduct periodic performance review of Area Admins o Providing regular portfolio & compliance reports to the ZSM and Credit Control team
Degree in Business Administration or any related field
Sales experience is essential; two years’ experience in B2C sales and at least 1 year in a sales management or a related field is a plus,
Knowledge or experience in portfolio management is a plus
Skills in the supervision of commission-based contractors (Sales Agent, Installation Fundi & Maintenance Technicians) is an added advantage.
Excellent verbal communication skills. Proven track record in sales achievements
Ability and passion for coaching and training
Strongly customer-focused. Creative approach in lead creation and customer engagement
Willing to regular traveling in the geographic area assigned and attend training/events in regional/zonal/national hubs
Previous experience in a managerial role is a plus
Fluency in Swahili and English.
