ZONAL MANAGER

Description

As an overall manager of the Zone, S/he is responsible for managing and leading a team of Zonal Sales Managers, Area Managers, Zonal Supply chain, Zonal Administrators and Zonal Service Coordinators with a special focus on raising Zone's Revenue through efficient management of Sales, Maintenance, Logistics, Collection and Recovery. Responsible for profitability, budgeting, and cost management for the entire zone.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the sales operational strategy for the zone, in alignment with the national sales targets and strategy with the guidance and support from Sales Operations Manager, and dotted relationship to the Head of Commercial
  • Organizing sales activities and functions in the field to achieve targets, revenues, and desired quality of sales for both B2C and B2B
  • Ensure on time and high-quality system installations and maintenance also health, safety, and environmental standards are adhered to, through Zonal Service Coordinators,
  • Ensure all stock management, forward and reverse logistic is done as per the requirements set by the supply chain department through the Supply Chain Team lead,
  • Management of the total loan portfolio within the zone in connection to collections and recovery as per the EEA standards from both sales and credit (customer finance) perspectives.
  • Analyze business reports and identifying opportunities to maximize growth and expand the business through performance improvement, partnerships, mergers, new markets.
  • Develop accurate and consistent bids with other internal stakeholders, and takes leadership of the Cross-Functional Teams’ integration
  • Provide supervisory and leadership oversight across the team(s) in enhancing both the performance and engagement of subordinates in order to achieve desired targets
  • Maintain portfolio credit quality by ensuring weekly credit meetings are conducted, monitoring risk concentrations, and early identification of problem situations.
  • Provide review and guidance to both Zonal Sales Managers and Area Managers to ensure that credit applications are of high quality and in the appropriate manner as set out in the standard credit application procedures/policies.
  • Responsible to ensure EEA Ethics compliance adhered optimally at all times
  • Subordinates' effectiveness: oRegular review of Department KPIs, performance assessment vs KPIs along with related internal and external reporting oEnsure staff understands the context of their roles in relation to Mobisol’s strategy. oEnsure staff in your department when performing their duties exhibit proper/acceptable behavior. oEnsure performance consequences are taken by the line managers in your department i.e. recognize best performers and manager poor performers from time to time through both, formal and informal feedback. oAssess and monitor the training and development needs of the staff in the department. oEnsure staff have the resources they require to perform their work

Requirements

  • University degree (Business Administration, Strategic Management, Finance Management or similar)
  • 5+ years of relevant sales and operational management experience in a medium sized company
  • Proven ability to inspire and lead a large team, coach and develop individuals
  • Strong business acumen: ability to set direction, to develop and implement adequate operational and managerial processes from scratch and sustainable business operations
  • Ability to communicate clearly through formal reports, presentations, memoranda and email, and making decisions for the business
  • Proven record of leadership, budget management, collaboration and engaging at senior level
  • Must be self-motivated, with an ability to balance multiple projects while working under tight deadlines with close attention to detail, accuracy and quality at all times
  • Fluent in Kiswahili and English
